Could this be an ancient airplane?

This artifact is located at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. Cast in pure gold, it was found in a grave in Columbia, South America. It is estimated by the Museum to be about 1,000 years old and is described as a "stylized insect." However, because of it's aerodynamic design, Particularly the tail section with the elevators and high rudder, it could well represent an aircraft. (courtesy, Dennis Swift)

Tower of Babel--High Tech?

The following report on archaeology continues to confirm the existence of advanced technology in the distant past. Here is a letter to the Editor of Chemical & Engineering News about this report.

Silt Stone

Your Science/Technology Concentrate titled "Ancient Mesopotamians made stone from silt" contains information that is hardly new (C&E N, June 29, page 26) An earlier author reported this fact at least 3,400 years ago.

According to the Bible (Genesis 11:3), shortly after the Genesis flood, the technology was used to prepare stone for the construction of the Tower of Babel. "And they said one to another, go to, let us make brick and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime for mortar."

This report describes making the stones in the same area. Is it possible that Elizabeth C. Stone has found some of the same stones?
